Giorgia Meloni: A Feminist’s Worst Nightmare

By Vanessa Sivadge

Far away from Washington and the failed policies of the Biden presidency, Giorgia Meloni’s historic ascent to power in Italy brought a wave of enthusiasm for the conservative movement in Europe. Known for her bold persona and a dazzling smile, she is not only the first woman elected prime minister of Italy, but the first conservative leader since World War II. Meloni positioned herself as a pro-life, pro-family candidate who opposed government overreach during Covid-19 lockdowns. Her platform resonated with the Italian people and displayed her fierce commitment to her country and its traditional values. She is a modern feminist’s worst nightmare.

In the days following Meloni’s victory, the global news establishment wasted no time in labeling her a far-right fascist. Media outlets compared her to notorious fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. The New York Times painted Meloni as a extremist in the headline: “Europe Looks at Italy’s Meloni with Caution and Trepidation.” Meanwhile, it publishes puff pieces like: “Kamala Harris: Who She Is and What She Stands for” in celebration of America’s first female vice president. Not surprisingly, the White House issued a statement of concern regarding Giorgia’s rise.

But most importantly, feminists were quiet. The international movement championing the cause of women’s empowerment and equal representation on the global stage slandered her as a danger to women’s rights, simply because of her conservative, Christian views on abortion, LGBTQ+ issues, and motherhood.

Meloni embodies every value that feminists despise: she embraces womanhood, upholds the sanctity of life from the moment of conception, opposes radical transgender ideology, and loves her nation. Her slogan, “God, Fatherland, Family,” appeals to middle and lower class families who are disillusioned with Europe’s push towards globalism, open border policies, and gender identity confusion in elementary schools. Despite dire warnings and slanderous claims by global elites and leftist feminists groups, Meloni is a breath of fresh air for every day Italians who just want the best for their children.

There is nothing more powerful than a woman with a strong sense of identity; a woman who radiates confidence and purpose. In a world that celebrates ambiguity, chaos, and confusion, a woman who is grounded in her value and worth will radiate goodness and kindness to those around her. A woman with conviction will always stand for the truth, even if she stands alone. These are the values that make Meloni a threat to the modern feminists. Although they say they are for women, they only recognize women who align with their progressive views. Feminists only uplift women who believe men are oppressors, children are a burden, and murdering an unborn child is a right. Meloni proves to the culture that success and motherhood are not mutually exclusive, but attainable together. Her identities as a woman, Christian, and mother are the very attributes that will propel her to lead Italy with strength and grace. The world is watching.
